Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you use our Service:

Marketing Attribution
To understand which campaigns bring travellers to WanderAge, we capture first-touch UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content), your landing page, and device type. This data is stored in your browser's localStorage — it contains no personal information and is privacy-friendly and ad-blocker resistant. When you book, these parameters are attached to your booking record to help us measure marketing effectiveness.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our Service. Cookies can be "Persistent" (remain until deleted) or "Session" (deleted when you close your browser).

- Ensure your safety on trip — share relevant health and dietary information with our destination partners and local team only where necessary.
- Improve our Service — analyse usage patterns, identify issues, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations — retain records as required by tax, travel, and consumer protection law.
- Send marketing communications — news, new destinations, and special offers, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Sharing Your Personal Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service Providers who help us deliver the platform: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Vercel (hosting), and Vercel Blob (document storage). All are bound by data processing agreements.
- Destination partners and local teams — relevant health, dietary, and emergency contact information shared strictly to ensure your safety and comfort on trip.
- Legal or regulatory authorities — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of WanderAge, our staff, or our travellers.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you in advance.
Retention of Your Personal Data
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Specifically:
- Booking records: retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance.
- Traveller health and document data: retained until 1 year after your last trip, then deleted.
- Marketing data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Usage and analytics data: retained for up to 2 years in aggregate form.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Some of our service providers operate outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your information in line with GDPR requirements.

Measures include encrypted connections (TLS), secure payment processing via Stripe, rate limiting and bot protection via Arcjet, and access controls that restrict who can view sensitive traveller data. That said, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
WanderAge is a platform designed for adults aged 50 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our Service may link to third-party websites not operated by us. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any personal information.
