Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking with WanderAge or using our platform. By making a booking or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
We've written these as clearly as we can — no dense legal jargon, no hidden gotchas. If something is unclear, please contact us before you book.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
Capitalised words carry the specific meanings defined below, whether singular or plural.
Definitions

Company (also "WanderAge", "We", "Us", or "Our") refers to WanderAge, the slow travel platform for curious adults 50+.

Service — the WanderAge website, booking platform, and all associated features.

Package — a curated slow travel stay of either 2 weeks or 1 month at one of our destinations.

Journey — one or more sequential Packages booked together as a multi-destination trip.

Booking — a confirmed reservation for one or more Packages, identified by a unique booking number (e.g. WA-20250101-AB3D).

Traveller — any individual included in a Booking.

Deposit — the initial payment of 30% of the total booking value, due at the time of booking.

Balance — the remaining 70% of the total booking value, due 30 days before the departure date.

You — the individual making a Booking or using the Service, and any Travellers included in that Booking.

Device — any device used to access the Service, such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Eligibility
WanderAge is designed for adults aged 50 and over. To make a Booking, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- Provide accurate personal and traveller information.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a Booking if we reasonably believe the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete.
Bookings and Payment
Making a Booking
To reserve a place on a Package, you must pay the Deposit at the time of booking. Your Booking is not confirmed until the Deposit payment has been successfully processed.
Upon successful payment, you will receive a booking confirmation by email with your unique booking number. Please keep this for your records.
Deposit
The Deposit is 30% of the total Package price, charged at the time of booking. It is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store raw card details.
Balance Payment
The Balance (70% of the total Package price) is due 30 days before your departure date. We will send you reminders at 30 days and again at 7 days before the due date.
If the Balance is not received by the due date, your Booking may be cancelled and your Deposit forfeited, unless we have agreed an alternative arrangement in writing.
Multi-Package Journeys
If you book a Journey (multiple sequential Packages), each Package is treated as a separate Booking for payment purposes. Transfer services between destinations are arranged and priced separately.
Pricing and Currency
Prices are displayed in EUR by default. You may view prices in other supported currencies (USD, GBP, AUD, PLN) using the currency selector. All payments are processed in the currency selected at checkout.
Exchange rates are updated daily. WanderAge is not responsible for fluctuations between your local currency and the payment currency.
Taxes and Charges
All prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Local tourist taxes or city levies (where applicable at destination) are not included and remain your responsibility.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation by You
If you need to cancel your Booking, please contact us in writing at hello@wanderage.com as soon as possible. The following cancellation terms apply:

If you have not yet paid the Balance and cancel more than 60 days before departure, no additional charges apply beyond the Deposit.
Cancellation by WanderAge
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a Package (for example, due to insufficient numbers, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our control), we will:
- Notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
- Offer you an alternative Package of equivalent or greater value, or
- Provide a full refund of all amounts paid.
WanderAge shall not be liable for additional costs you may incur (such as flights or travel insurance) as a result of a cancellation outside our control.
Modification Requests
If you wish to change your Booking (dates, destination, number of travellers), submit a modification request through your dashboard. All modifications are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee. We will confirm or decline your request within 5 business days.
What's Included
Each Package page clearly states what is and is not included. As a general guide:
Typically included: accommodation, daily breakfast, selected meals, curated activities, local host support, a welcome dinner, and group transfers within the destination.
Typically not included: international flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, optional activities or add-ons, and local tourist taxes.
Please refer to the specific Package listing for the full inclusions list before booking.
Add-ons and Extras
You may purchase optional add-on services (such as airport transfers, excursions, or room upgrades) during or after booking. Add-on pricing is displayed at the point of purchase. Add-ons are subject to availability and may have separate cancellation terms.
Traveller Responsibilities
By making a Booking, you and each Traveller agree to:
- Provide complete and accurate personal details, including passport information, dietary requirements, allergies, and medical conditions relevant to travel.
- Obtain and maintain adequate travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and repatriation. We strongly recommend this.
- Comply with the entry requirements, visa requirements, and health regulations of your destination country.
- Behave respectfully towards fellow Travellers, local hosts, and WanderAge staff at all times. We reserve the right to remove any Traveller from a Package without refund if their conduct is deemed unsafe, abusive, or disruptive.
- Disclose any medical conditions or mobility limitations that may affect your participation in Package activities, so we can ensure appropriate support is in place.
User Accounts
To make a Booking, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
WanderAge uses Clerk for authentication, which supports multi-factor authentication and social login. We recommend enabling MFA for additional security.
Intellectual Property
All content on the WanderAge platform — including text, images, itineraries, destination guides, and the WanderAge brand — is owned by or licensed to WanderAge. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard to keep everything accurate and up to date, WanderAge makes no warranties — express or implied — that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Information about Packages (pricing, availability, inclusions) will always be current.
- The Service will meet every specific requirement.
We will always correct genuine errors promptly and communicate any material changes to your Booking.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WanderAge's total liability to you in connection with any Booking shall not exceed the total amount you paid for that Booking.
WanderAge shall not be liable for:
- Losses caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including natural disasters, pandemics, war, government travel restrictions, or airline disruptions.
- Costs of flights, visas, or other independently purchased travel arrangements.
- Loss of enjoyment, indirect, or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
Links to Third-Party Websites
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, destination guides, local partners, or travel resources). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their terms before sharing any personal information.
For European Union (EU) Users
If you are a consumer based in the EU or EEA, you benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of the country in which you reside, which cannot be overridden by these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
Disputes Resolution
If you have a concern or dispute about your Booking or the Service, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it informally. We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 business days.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. All other provisions remain in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
By continuing to use the Service after updated Terms take effect, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and contact us to discuss your options.
